Chrysalis Art was born out of the need to express one's creative voice. Many years of corporate
business experience left Carmen Kelley feeling her creative dreams unfulfilled. Exploring many areas
of interest and attending various art classes and workshops helped Carmen to awaken to her creativity.
Creating a piece of art... whether it be a painting, a drawing, a piece of sculpture, or an item of
jewelry... is a passion of mine, it is a need I have within me. It is something I cannot ignore and must
do regularly. My art enables me to express my love of nature and my joys in life. Most recently,
Carmen felt the need to "let go" - let go of fear, of habits, of stale expressions, of "the way it's always
been done". Based on this concept of "letting go" she now enjoys the process of playing at making art.
Carmen's works of art are often mixed media pieces combining several types of materials.

Having come from a healthcare and healing background Carmen has developed several modalities
using art as a component for healing. In creating, we move towards wholeness. These techniques are
